InabaPet

Project Inaba is an open-source, interactive desktop pet powered by local LLMs (Large Language Models). She lives on your screen, chats with you, and reacts to your interactions.

Unlike traditional desktop pets that just walk around, Inaba is built to understand context and conversation.

✨ Key Features (v0.1)

• 🗣️ Real AI Conversations: Powered by a custom-finetuned Qwen 2.5 model via Ollama. She doesn't just use pre-written scripts; she thinks and replies dynamically.
• 🖱️ Interactive: Double-click her head to give her a "head pat" (/pat), and she will react with voice and text.
• 🔊 Voice Synthesis: Fully voiced responses (TTS) to bring the character to life.
• 🖥️ Transparent Overlay: Built with PyQt5, she sits seamlessly on top of your windows without a background box.

🛠️ Development Roadmap

This is currently a Prototype / MVP. I am actively working on:

•  Vision Capabilities: Upgrading to Qwen 3 VL so she can "see" your screen and comment on what you're doing.
•  Smarter Logic: Upgrading the brain to Qwen 3 8B.
•  Memory System: Long-term memory so she remembers past conversations.
